Elite Camp:
July 8-12, 2013

Camp Director: Greg Wriede

Head coach of Peddie swim team for the past ten years, winning four Eastern Interscholastic Championships during his tenure. Assisted by head age group coach Charlie Dragon, Wriede focuses Peddie Swim Camp on meeting each swimmer at his/her level and teaching specific skills to help each individual achieve his/her personal goals.

Introduction to Competitive Swimming:
Coed day camp for developmental swimmers who are either new to the sport or who want to become competitive swimmers. Swimmers will receive instruction in all four strokes, starts and turns, as well as learn the rules of swimming. Campers will leave comfortable and confident in a competitive swimming environment.

Technique for Competitive Swimmers:
Coed day camp for swimmers who want to improve their technique for competitive success. Campers will get intensive technique instruction in all four strokes, starts and turns, including underwater videotaping and video analysis of top international swimmers. They will also receive instruction in land exercises. Campers will leave with an understanding of what it will take to reach the next level in the sport.

Elite Camp
The Elite camp at Peddie will be designed for the serious swimmer who wants a professional analysis of their competitive strokes. Utilizing revolutionary training devices such as Avidasports* telemetry system and the Ikkos* training system, coaches will do a complete workup of every swimmer attending the camp. Data will be collected, analyzed and provided to the athlete in order to give detailed feedback. Athletes will come away with a better understanding of how they swim and how to get better. This camp is limited to 10 spots!

* Using the Avidasports system, Peddie coaches will be able to give a breakdown of a swimmer's stroke through metrics such as tempo, distance per cycle, breakout times and even kick count per lap! This cumulative data will provide athletes with feedback about specific areas where improvements can be made.

* The Ikkos system is a cutting edge technology that provides athletes with stroke changes through image processing, and can have a dramatic effect on the way an athlete swims.
